Description of the STORM belt

The belt is the summary of our experience and extensive knowledge and the knowledge of our users, gathered over 9 years. It is also a milestone in technological development at Bayonet, thanks to the use of specialized machines for individual stitching.

The main, outer belt, sewn from 2 layers of 20 kN polyamide tape, is stiff, but not too much, it allows for a good fit to the figure of the person wearing the belt, it does not form as "steel rim". The stiffness of the main belt allows the external belt to be attached to the internal belt using Velcro®, even if the main belt is loaded with pouches and light equipment. Due to the lack of plastic stiffeners, the belt will never break or deform permanently.

On the outer side of the main belt, almost along its entire length are sewn polyamide webbing with a strength of 6kN with the PALS (Pouch Attachment Ladder System) system for the MOLLE (Modular Lightweight Load-bearing Equipment) system. Polyamide webbing provide much greater durability and better resistance to abrasion, tearing and dirt than a Cordura. A specially prepared bar tackle machine, sewn PALS webbing with very strong bolts, allows to load a single cell with a weight of up to 20 kg. The flat and smooth 25mm wide space between PALS cells allows to easy mount of pouches and accessories. This is noticeably easier than with Cordura flat laser cutouts.

The compression (wrapping) system of the adjustable end of belts takes only a small space next to the Cobra® D-Ring buckle. As a result, PALS cells are accessible almost around the entire circumference of the belt. The Velcro-fastened holder holding the adjustable end of the belt is much more durable than the commonly used rubber belt loop. The holder also allows for much easier adjustment of the belt length than a rubber belt loop. Thanks to the possibility of detaching the holder from the belt, you can easily attach a pistol holster and other accessories slipped over the belt.

VERY IMPORTANT! The the adjustable end of the belt is properly threaded over the buckle as recommended by the Cobra® buckle manufacturer. The waist adjustment range is 15cm, please carefully measure your waist circumference before buying, the size should be chosen according to your size in the selected size range.

The inner belt is made of 38mm soft tape with Velcro sewn on the outside for use around the entire circumference. Passed through a simple frame and fastened with Velcro to allow a slight tightening at the waist. It can be used as a standalone trouser belt, but it is not a substitute for a good belt with Cobra buckle.

• a rigid belt made of 2 layers of polyamide tape, 45 mm wide, with a strength of 20 kN, repeatedly stitched, without plastic stiffeners,
• AustriAlpin Cobra® Pro Style buckle with a strength of 18kN, all black, matte, anodized, with a black D-ring,
• belt lined on the inside with Velcro® tape loops (soft),
• PALS tapes sewn on the outside for the MOLLE system made of polyamide tape with a strength of 6kN, tested durability of a single PALS cell of 20kg,
• the adjustable end of the belt is wrapped and held by the holder with Velcro®,
• sizes: S 75-90cm, M 85-100cm, L 95-110cm, XL 105-120cm, XXL 115-130cm, other sizes on request.

Inner Belt:

• single-layer, made of soft tape with Velcro® tape hooks (hard) sewn on the outside,
• put through a frame that allows tightening the belt,
• fastened with Velcro®,
• size matched to the main belt

WARNING! Due to the short series production, the individual elements of the set may be slightly different from those shown in the pictures, the differences may concern, for example, the label, the way of sewing. We listen to our customers' comments and improve small elements without affecting the overall functionality of the product.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS! Despite the use of specialized sewing, the best threads on the market with certified strength, certified buckle and certified webbing, it is forbidden to use the belt for belaying and rescue purposes. The belt has not been tested for the "CE" safety certificate. This is mainly due to the requirements of the PL EN-358 standard that the straps should be at least 8 cm wide along their entire length or 10 cm in the lumbar section, which automatically excludes the use of such a belt for trousers and for carrying holsters and pouches.

RESERVATIONS! Buckles are tools and are shipped from the factory in bulk packaging, without any special protection. There may be color errors (e.g. two halves of the buckle may have a different shade, especially in anodized buckles), small scratches or drubbing. We eliminate larger defects by sending the buckles back to the factory. We try to make the belts of the highest quality also in terms of aesthetics, but we don't want to return whole boxes.
